“Where your awareness goes energy flows”.

Make time for a little Quiet Time – Take time each day to spend a few minutes alone to clear your head and give your mind a break. Some people enjoy getting up early before everyone else wakes up, while others enjoy some quiet time before bed. During your quiet time practice deep breathing exercises while you think about something or someplace that makes you feel happy and at peace. When negative thoughts enter your head, simply dismiss them and go back to your happy thoughts. When you’re done, you’ll feel calm, more relax and ready to face the challenges ahead with a more positive mindset.

Attitude of gratitude – Changing your mindset to one of gratitude, when negative feelings start to take over your thoughts, shift to a more positive mindset by thinking about all the good things in your life. There is always something to be grateful for such as the natural beauty of nature, listening to the birds sing, good health, a loving family, a nice home or a great job. Jot down the things you’re grateful for, write a few out on a post it note, look at them everyday, carry them around in your wallet or hand bag. Over time you may end up with a very long list that will help put things in perspective and instantly improve your negative attitude. Or try to write down three things you are grateful for every day. This is a very simple gratitude exercise that has a minimal time commitment.

Positive self-talk makes you feel good about yourself and the things that are going on in your life. It’s like having an optimistic voice in your head that always looks on the bright side. The more you work on improving your self-talk, the easier you’ll find it. It’s kind of like practising an instrument or going to sports training: it won’t be easy to start with, but you’ll get better with time.

It might not seem like much, but self-talk is a huge part of our self-esteem and confidence. By working on replacing negative self-talk with more positive self-talk, you’re more likely to feel in control of stuff that’s going on in your life and to achieve your goals.

Kindness – Do something good for someone else – Smiling is contagious and it has a way of brightening up everyone’s day, including your own. You just feel better about yourself and everything around you when you smile. Other people also enjoy being around someone that is happy and friendly so smiling can attract more interesting people. This could potentially open new doors for you filled with amazing opportunities and wonderful experiences. So, when those negative thoughts creep in stop, take a deep breath, smile and do something good for someone else. Before long the positive energy will begin to flow all around you.

Get inspired – Take time each day, even if it’s 10 minutes, to expose yourself to something that truly inspires you. Read the blog of someone you admire. Watch a motivational Vide. Write a thank you note to someone who went out of their way for you. However you choose to get inspired, making this a daily priority will you maintain your momentum. My recommendation? Come up with a list of activities that get your inspiration flowing. To me, gratitude is everything.

Set Small Goals – Sometimes when we get caught up in the daily grind, we get so focused on not yet having reached the end goal of success. So take time to set small, frequent goals, and reward yourself in some manner after achieving them. The best way to do this is to write out a big lofty goal, and under that goal, list all the “mini goals” you need to hit in order to make it happen. Put dates next to those mini goals and focus on each step by setting aside non-negotiable, realistic blocks of time—work dates with yourself—to get them done.

“Like attracts Like”.
